APAC Soccer Logo (2015)

(2015) My alma mater Canadian Academy (in Kobe, Japan) commissioned me to create a logo for the Asia Pacific Athletics Conference (APAC) for boy's soccer. The conference has several international schools from around Asia to come participate in a sports tournament. I decided to make this logo very clean and minimal, with only a red sun in the background referencing Japan, along with the calligraphy of APAC Kobe (in Kanji, bottom right). I placed a grey background for the sake of seeing the white numbers (the 2, 1, and 5 in 2015). I used the silhouette of a boy doing a bicycle kick to integrate type and form, to create cohesion.
