A piece done during the Fall semester Spatial Dynamics class (RISD Freshman year, 2015). The piece is a materials study, looking at how they can interact in terms of form and material. The piece on the left was made with bamboo and washi paper, with wood chips suspended using wire. The piece in the middle was sawed at the wood shop, and is made of bass wood, and then stained. The piece on the right is made of flattened wires twisted together, then stuffed with paper. The composition as a whole ends in points that lead to the next part of the piece. This was my first time using wood and using the wood shop tools to create a piece.
